Muse Monday: Flamingo

Today's Muse Monday is brought to you by this lovely flamingo. While looking for inspiration, I kept coming back to this photo.  The color combo and the feathers are so striking, but did you know that their color actually comes from their diet? The more vibrant their color, the more their food has that pigmentation (shrimp, crustaceans, etc). Just a fun fact for you on this Monday. As I was working on what to make from this photo, the idea of a fun hat and feather skirt came to me. This would actually make a really cute halloween costume if you wanted something creative yet still stylish. The hat makes me think of London, with all the fancy fascinators the Brits tend to wear to events. Why don't we do that here in the U.S.? It's such a fun way to accessorize any outfit. Anyhow, enough of my rambling... here's my Muse Monday drawing for this week.
