The Ultimate Green Smoothie
Looking for an easy way to get more greens into your diet? This green smoothie is a delicious and fast way to incorporate more greens and fruits into your meals. I’ve been drinking this smoothie from Kimberly Snyder for years. In fact, I couldn’t start my day without it! When we moved to Sweden, I stopped making it and I don’t know why. After all the travel and food indulges I’ve had the last few months, I thought it was time to bring it back into rotation. Give it a try an let me know what you think.
Key Ingredients
Fresh greens - romaine and spinach are my top choices, but cabbage is also great
Celery - one stalk
Apple - I like to use Honeycrisp, but if you want it a bit more tart, a granny smith would be great
Pear - any kind will do, peaches are also a good mix
Banana - this is optional, if you don’t use, just add in more of the apple or pear
Lemon - I like a full lemon, I find the citrus really cuts through the greens and makes it taste more like a juice
Easy Instructions
Roughly chop lettuce, and celery
Core the apple and pear, peel banana
Juice lemon
Combine all ingredients in blender and add water
Add any herbs, if using
Blend well and enjoy!
