Spring at home
This time of year begs to throw open the windows and let the cool spring air in. Summer is right around the corner, and you can see the excitement on faces that winter has exited stage left. Unfortunately, old man winter is still putting up a good fight and spring is looking like a distant dream. To bring this dream to reality, I recently shed the winter layers in my home. My winter decor is warm and safe. It’s dark colors, heavy fabrics and cozy throws. To remedy this, and feel lighter and brighter, I added subtle pops of color. Nothing too bright, but enough to evoke that feeling of spring. I infused lighter fabrics, softer colors, and scents of spring. Hope for warmer days has returned, along with a brighter mood. Decor is funny like that. It can change your whole outlook, just like a new dress. Do you change your decor for the seasons like you change your dress?
