Farm Fresh and Roller Skates

We celebrated our friend Lalo’s birthday this past weekend and it brought back childhood memories. It was a rollerskating party. Yep. You heard me right. When was the last time you went rollerskating? I honestly haven’t been since I was maybe 10. Sure, I’ve rollerbladed plenty over the years, but rollerskating? Nope. Can’t say I’ve done that recently. It took me a few laps around the rink to get my balance and groove on, but after that, there was no stopping me (did someone say disco?). I did pull myself off when the slow songs started (read my husband wasn’t about to break a leg trying to skate) and I found myself without a partner. Not that I minded. I was content sitting on the side lines people watching. It was an eclectic group to say the least. I will admit, I was surprised at the number of people actually skating (it was adult skate night).

Did I mention the theme was orange? It’s Lalo’s favorite color. The picture above isn’t great (it was my iPhone), but he’s wearing all orange. If you follow me on instagram (mplsgirl) you saw that I was also sporting bright orange jeans (sucker for a theme)
